Verticals for Vets 2024 Rare Beer Auction set for 11/10/24

The first Verticals for Vets rare beer auction and fundraising event occurred in September 2023. The event was a resounding success! We auctioned off donations from over 40 breweries, wineries, meaderies, distilleries, local artists, and individuals, raising over $16,000 for VCP. This event tied together homebrewers, veterans, and the community in support of a charity doing amazing work for homeless veterans.

Verticals for Vets started when Aurora homebrew club, Aurora City Brew Club (AC/BC), was given several bottles of Thomas Hardy, a few verticals spanning 1986 – 1997, with the intention of using it to raise money for a veteran’s charity. We have partnered with Veterans Community Project (VCP), whose mission is to help end veteran homelessness through specialized communities of tiny houses combined with support services that help veterans transition to permanent housing and financial stability. 

With our success last year, we are planning a second Verticals for Vets on November 10, 2024 to coincide with Veterans Day weekend. In addition to the auction, we have joined forces with some friends to make an official collaboration beer with proceeds going to Veterans Community Project!

The event will be at Dry Dock Brewing Company and will run from 2pm-6pm.
